Though training has been an ongoing activity of GSACS. The training programme has been structured in different tiers, with comprehensive curriculum for different categories of the health functionaries. The objective is to involve all the medical, paramedical, Male and Female Health workers and field staff.
These officials/workers were undergone through a training of syndromic management of STD, clinical management of HIV/AIDS, epidemic of AIDS, counselling, hospice care, management of opportunistic infections etc. Emphasis on universal hospital precautions is laid to remove fear amongst health care workers so as to avoid discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS. Moreover, training programs for the basics on HIV/AIDS & STD/RTIs conducted for the representatives of NGOs working under PSH-projects, women organization like Mahila Samakhya, students involved in activities with NSS and NYK etc.
