Young people are among the most vulnerable group to HIV/AIDS. SAEP is one of the important programmes that focuses adolescent to create awareness, resists peer pressure and develop a safe and responsible lifestyle. The programme reinforces family values and respect for the opposite sex also.
GSACS has implemented the SAEP programme through the NGO with the support of Education department. This programme is implemented in Std. IX and XI. From each school, two teachers and two peer educators are given three days and two days training respectively. A question box is placed at each school for the students who are shy and feels uncomfortable asking the question. Minimum school level activities like Drawing competition, debate, rally, poetry and essay competition are done at school level to create awareness in the school students. |
