ICTC (PPTCT)

The analysis takes into consideration the reports from the 172 registered ICTC (PPTCT) centers in CMIS from across the districts.

Reporting Status:

The chart shows the detailed percentage of reporting information for all the districts of Gujarat in the quarter Jan - Mar’08.

The overall reporting from PPTCT is 91 percent for the quarter. Districts Dang, Gandhinagar, Narmada, Navsari, Surat & Valsad have 100 percent reporting. Amreli, Porbandar, Panchmahal & Dahod districts have reported less than 80 percent.

As depicted in above table, the districts Jamnagar, Junagadh, Patan & Surendranagar have reported less than 75 percent pre-test counseling out of registered ANC cases. Except Bhavnagar (71.7%), Gandhinagar (72.05%), Jamnagar (72.3%), Junagadh (44.34%) and Patan (71.3%) the other districts have reported more than 75% undergoing HIV testing out of registration.

Percentage Positive among ANC cases:

The chart below shows the district-wise percent positives among registered ANC cases for each district.

The overall percent positivity reported at PPTCT is 0.4 in the reporting quarter. Banaskantha has reported positivity of 0.9%. Districts Rajkot, Amreli, Surat and Banaskantha have reported positivity more than 0.6 percent as shown in the graph and below map.

Women coming Directly into Labour:

Overall positivity among the women coming directly into labour is 0.47 percent. The table below shows the detailed percentage of HIV positivity among women coming directly into labor in different districts of Gujarat.

Kachchh has the highest positivity which is 3.45%. Sabarkantha (1.6%), Amreli (1.52%), Banaskantha (1.07%), Rajkot (0.94%), Vadodara (0.92%) and Anand has reported 0.65% positivity among women coming directly into labour.

Higher positivity rates in the districts mentioned above are mainly because of very small numbers undergoing testing.
